Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit

On Friday November 6th, we gathered up to create an environment filled with colors, music, and arts and crafts. Various items were on sale to the public, including t-shirts, paintings, and many skulls. We would like to thank the Cecilia Hernandez Mariachi for a wonderful performance, the vendors who were willing to share their imaginative art, and the public who came to support our exhibit of El Dia De Los Muertos.

The Human Condition Exhibit

On September 23, we kicked off our annual photography exhibit 'fotoseptiembre'.  This year we feature photographers, Jaque Geissler and Rafael Garcia.  Mrs. Geissler passed away earlier this year and her family submitted her life's work and experiences on her behalf while Mr. Garcia's pieces are abstract and metaphoric.  Both artists' works are meant to compliment each other and are integral to the overall experience as one goes through the exhibit.  The Human Condition Exhibit will be on display at the Gallery until October 23.  Those who missed the opening are encouraged to stop by this Friday, October 2, during the city's monthly caminarte

Gallery 201's annual photography exhibit 'fotoseptiembre' had a great opening this past week. The exhibit will be on display until October 23. A huge 'thank you' to everyone who helped out and participated!

'Selfish' A Self-Portrait Exhibit

Last night the Gallery's first annual 'Selfish' exhibit opened.  The opening day was a huge success with a full house and plenty of new comers.  The exhibit was an open call to all artists encouraging them to submit a self-portrait.  Over 40 submissions on various mediums were on display, from acrylic on canvas to 3D figurines to art installations.  The show was a one of a kind!  The pieces will remain on display throughout the month of July and all are encouraged to drop by and pay a visit!  For those who missed yesterday, the Gallery will be open tonight in conjunction with today's caminarte. Below are pictures from last night's opening. Enjoy!

'Mi Universo' Student Art Exhibit

Last Wednesday the Gallery hosted the Mi Universo Student Art Exhibit featuring work by Lizzie Hinojosa's art students.  The young artists ages ranged from 6 - 15 years old and their work covered a variety of subjects from animals to ice cream.  If anyone is interested in having their children enroll in Lizzie's art classes, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Below are some pictures of the event from our in-house photographer.
