Rafael Garcia is an American polymath currently living and working out of Laredo. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. After graduation he worked in the second largest US immigration firm for 5 years before discovering the camera. Within a year of discovering the camera, he resigned from his position at the firm to pursue photography full-time. Primarily self-taught, he started out doing portraits and shoots for his love of the art form. His professional career began with Real Estate Photography and expanded to Architecture and Portrait Photography. It has since evolved to include video, website design and creative marketing. His work is concerned with the structures, patterns and lines that make up our existence and how it all connects and frames the emotional fluidity and ephemeral nature of man.
